The New Zealand Middle East Business Council continues to deliver a strong programme of member-focused events designed to keep our network informed, connected, and engaged with developments across the New Zealand–Middle East business corridor.

Regional Update

Online | Tuesday 17 March | 4:00pm

Join NZMEBC members for an online session with guest speakers Dr Geoffrey Miller and Simon Cartwright.

While global media continues to focus on geopolitical developments across the Middle East, this discussion will look beyond the headlines to explore what the current situation means for New Zealand’s relationships with the Gulf states and the wider region.

Geoffrey will share insights into the evolving diplomatic and economic landscape, while Simon will provide practical updates on logistics and shipping considerations for businesses trading with the region.


Member Case Study – Scaling Partners International

Auckland | 31 March | 4:30pm (Venue TBC)

This in-person member event will feature Rob Morris and Adrian Pickstock of Scaling Partners International.

They will share insights into how the globally recognised Scaling Up growth framework is being used to support ambitious Saudi companies and entrepreneurs as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 transformation.

Scaling Partners International works with Saudi-owned companies in Jeddah and Riyadh, helping founders, CEOs and leadership teams scale their businesses through proven frameworks focused on People, Strategy, Execution, and Cash.

The firm also partners with organisations such as Monsha’at and the Misk Foundation to support the development of Saudi entrepreneurs.


Insight Series – The Gulf Sustainability Agenda

Online | 8 April 2026 | 5:00pm

Sustainability is rapidly becoming a central pillar of economic strategy across the Gulf region.

In this NZMEBC Insight Series session, Ian Jameson, Managing Director of sustainability advisory firm Shazeal, will explore how sustainability frameworks are shaping investment priorities, regulatory expectations, and business strategy across the region.

For New Zealand companies engaging with Gulf markets, understanding this evolving agenda will be key to building trusted and long-term partnerships.
