Invitation to UAE-NZ Roadshow, 1 August, Northern Club, Auckland

Following on the success of last year’s joint UAE-NZMEBC seminar on Dubai 2020, sponsored by the UAE Embassy, the 2018 Emirates Roadshow will be held from 10 am – 12 noon on  1 August at the Northern Club, 19 Princes St, Auckland.

All NZMEBC members and their guests are invited to attend the Roadshow at the personal invitation of His Excellency Saleh Al Suwaidi, Ambassador of the UAE, who will be present to welcome attendees and introduce the seminar speakers.

The seminar is being held to promote the 2018 Aqdar World Summit to be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 26 – 28 November this year.  The Roadshow will focus on strategic business opportunities for NZ companies and will feature the following delegation from the UAE:

  • Dr Expert Ibrahim Al Dabal – General Coordinator of Aqdar World Summit
  • Dr Mansour Al Awar – Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University
  • Dr Abdul Salam Al Madani – Executive Chairman Aqdar World Summit and Innovation Arabia

Please note that an informal lunch will be served at the end of the session to provide an opportunity for all attendees to meet personally with the Ambassador and members of the delegation.

See the attached invitation and RSVP to by Thursday 26 July if you wish to attend.

New Emirates Bali connection offers daily non-stop flights

A new Emirates daily service from Auckland to Bali featuring all three classes – Economy, Business and First Class – was launched in June, offering new options for travellers to Dubai and Asia.  The service has already been patronised by NZMEBC members including Furnware Managing Director, Hamish Whyte, who was delighted to find he was on the Inaugural Flight.

“I recently travelled on the Auckland to Bali Emirates direct service, but wasn’t aware it was the inaugural flight until afterwards,” said Mr Whyte.

“Being amongst the dignitaries and VIPs in the lounge was great to be part of. Everyone was buzzing and it was obvious that we were experiencing something very special. Thank you for allowing us to be part of the special occasion, and as always, providing an exceptional level of service.”

Members are reminded that NZMEBC membership qualifies travellers for discounts on Emirates flights around the world.
