Ed is a partner at Hudson Gavin Martin, a boutique commercial and corporate law firm specialising in technology, media and intellectual property law.
Ed is currently the Secretary of the NZMEBC and is involved in various digital transformation projects for NZMEBC, organising seminars and workshops for members, and other member engagements.
Ed has significant experience in New Zealand and the Middle East in technology procurement, outsourcing, IP commercialisation and general commercial and corporate matters. Prior to joining Hudson Gavin Martin, Ed worked for four years at Clyde & Co, one of the leading international law firms in Dubai. While in Dubai, he worked with many clients in the Middle East including the Government of Dubai, Emirates, The Jumeirah Group, Dubai Healthcare City, The National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Al Nisr Publishing.
Ed can help members with their general enquiries relating to how business is done in the Middle East, establishing businesses in the region (including how free zones work), and entering into commercial arrangements with entities in the region (including distribution arrangements).
