Membership

Membership of the New Zealand-Middle East Business Council draws upon a broad representation of businesses that are either actively engaged in - or aspiring to - commercial activity with Middle East-based companies, organizations and governments.

These include, but are not limited to the following typical examples:

  • New Zealand exporters and service providers focused on existing activity in Middle East markets
  • New Zealand organizations contemplating market expansion into the Middle East
  • Middle Eastern subsidiaries in New Zealand
  • Middle Eastern companies seeking to establish operations in New Zealand
  • New Zealand importers
  • Middle Eastern Chambers of Commerce
  • Middle Eastern Trade Fair organizations

NZ-MEBC has quickly established itself as a forum at which like-minded peers readily exhibit a collegiate, ‘NZ Inc.’ approach to the diverse opportunities that the Middle East region presents. Members both within New Zealand and offshore benefit from the broad experience, specific advice and on occasion lessons in adversity, which comprise the range of commercial and cultural exchange between Middle East countries and New Zealand.

NZ-MEBC works actively with many of the agencies of government within our region of interest, providing a forum for the closer engagement with the commercial sector. This is valuable for both large and small companies, with SMEs in particular, gaining access to senior decision makers and policy informers. The NZ-MEBC has a particularly close relationship with New Zealand’s government agencies Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, as well as Investment New Zealand.

NZ-MEBC co-hosts events with visiting delegations from Middle East governments and organizations such as trade missions.
